Manado State University Choir (MSUC)
Manado State University Choir (MSUC) or Unima Choir is a group of singers from the students choir of the University. They are organizationally separately from The Student Choir and composed by alumni and students of Manado State University. Recently MSUC has 30 singers who were selected by the special audition. This Choir has a variety repertoire such as Classic, Contemporary, Pop, Folksong with its wide range
period as well. Besides participating in festival and competition, they are actively dedicated their choir for church service. They are building their commitments and get together by their love in singing and faith.
This last three years, they are
consistently taking part in both national and international choir festivals and competitions.
o 2005
1. Participated at 2nd Symposium on Church Choral Music, Bandung, Indonesia.
√ Opening choir at the opening ceremony of the symposium.
√ Choir model in master class conducting by Robert Sund (Sweden).
√ Participated in Opening Concert “Great Mass” W. A. Mozart and Closing Concert “Requiem in D Minor, op. 31” Gabriel Faure.
2. 3rd place in The Busan APEC Choral Festival and Competition, Busan South Korea.
o 2006
1. Participated in The 4th World Choir Games, Xiamen China.
√ Awarded Silver Diploma dan Gold Diploma and Bronze Medal in Mixed Youth Choir and Folklore A ‘Cappella category.
√ Officially chosen by Musica Mundi Organizer World Choir Games to represent Asia Continent in The 5th World Choir Games Opening Ceremony “A Tribute From Every Continent”.
2. Gold Champion In “The 9th Indonesia National Student Choir Festival and Competition”.
3. Invited by Interkultur Foundation of South Korea to represent Indonesia in “Daegu International Choral Festival”, Daegu South Korea.
4. Participated in “Korean Choral Festival” Seoul South Korea.
5. Participated in “The Busan International Choral Competition”, Busan South Korea.

√ Gold Champion in Musica Sacra A ‘Cappella and Popular Choir Music categories and Gold Medal in Mixed Chamber Choir category in “The 1st Asian Choir Games”, Jakarta Indonesia.

1. At the 12th World Rank “Top 1000 Choirs” and at the 2nd World Rank in Pop, Jazz and Gospel category from World Ranking List released by Musica Mundi on January.
2. Grand Prix Champion in “The North Sulawesi International Choir Competition”, Manado, Indonesia.
3. Awarded Gold medal in Gospel and Spiritual Vocal Ensemble category and Silver Medal in Musica Sacra A Cappella and Popular Choir Music Vocal Ensemble category in “The 5th World Choir Games”, Graz Austria.
4. Performed in Gala Concert of The 5th World Choir Games, Graz Austria.
5. 2nd Place at Busan Choral Festival And Competition, South Korea.
